James of the Glen, Glen Duror, the Appin Murder and Modern Crime Fiction

Elaine Black talks about the Glen Duror survey, a site associated with James Stuart James of the Glen who was hung in 1752 for the murder of Colin Campbell The Red Fox. In addition to the results of the ACFA survey Elaine will tell the story of the Appin Murder and the controversy surrounding the conviction of James Stuart that persists to this day. She will be joined by acclaimed crime writer Douglas Skelton whose latest novel A Rattle of Bones takes the site of James Stuart’s grave as its jumping off point.
