The first newsletter under the shared editorship of Ian Marshall and Richard Anderson has been published.  Featuring a report on the National Trust for Scotland excavations last summer on Iona and a thoughtful piece touching on art and archaeology and what can bring us to a love of archaeology among many other features.  ACFA Newsletter Issue number 44 can be read in the Members’ Area.

The draft strategy for archaeology in Scotland for the next ten years is out for consultation now.  The consultation papers and further information can be found here .  The deadline for submissions is June 9.

Here is our first attempt at kite aerial surveying.  More work needed but we are delighted to get a result.
